Readings from the World
Readings from Le Monde – thinking differently about the contemporary world
Lectures du Monde is a space for critical reflection dedicated to the analysis of the contemporary world. At the crossroads of philosophy, anthropology, social sciences and management, the site offers essays, analytical texts and cross-disciplinary readings on work, organizations, modern beliefs and contemporary forms of power.
This publishing project is part of a demanding yet accessible intellectual approach, attentive to the tensions between rationality, culture, ideology, and lived experience. It is aimed at those who wish to understand the profound transformations of our societies, beyond simplistic discourses and apparent certainties.
Led by Gamal El Ballat, a doctor of social sciences, researcher, author and teacher, Lectures du Monde aims to be a place of open, critical and engaged thought, where knowledge is not reduced to immediate news or narrow specialization, but seeks to link disciplines to illuminate the meaning of our individual and collective practices.
